Abstract

The successful establishment of e-governance is considered a vital step towards stability, reconstruction, and socio-economic improvement in a developing country. However, most e-governance projects' implementation have failed, due to their broad, diverse, and sometimes conflicting goals. The current research was conducted with the aim of identifying the antecedents of sustainable and futuristic e-governance in line with the general policies of the system with a qualitative approach. This research is applied in terms of purpose and exploratory in terms of data collection method. The participants in the research were 12 academic experts and senior managers in government organizations in the country who were selected in a targeted method. The data collection tool was semi-structured interviews. To analyze the data, the theme analysis method and MAXQDA software were used. The results of the research showed that the final model of the research includes 71 selective codes, 17 sub-categories and 6 main categories including futuristic organization, social sustainability, futuristic accountability, political stability, futuristic administrative system and economic sustainability. The results of the present research can help policy makers and e-governance development planners in the country to develop e-governance implementation requirements to ensure its long-term success in the future.
