Management competencies of organizational health based on administrative system transformation policies

Abstract

Organizational health means the survival of the organization and improving its ability to adapt more with the environment. Considering the vital role of organization's management and leadership in maintaining and improving organizational health, the purpose of this research is to identify organizational health management competencies based on administrative system transformation policies.The research method is applied and developmental in terms of purpose, descriptive survey in terms of nature, and qualitative and quantitative (mixed) in terms of data type.The statistical population of the research in the qualitative phase included experts from universities of medical sciences. Sampling was done with 18 people until information saturation was reached.The statistical population of the quantitative phase also included 800 presidents, vice presidents and senior managers of medical sciences universities in the country (Region 9 of the Ministry of Health), and based on random cluster sampling, 259 people were selected as a sample according to Cochran's formula.The data collection tools included semi-structured interviews and researcher-made questionnaires. The content validity of the questionnaire was confirmed by experts and the reliability of the questionnaires was confirmed in a preliminary study with 30 subjects and Cronbach's alpha coefficient was higher than 0.7. SPSS, Smart Pls software was used for data analysis.The results showed that organizational health management competencies based on administrative system transformation policies include cognitive, social, functional, strategic and ethical competencies.The results of this research can be effective in realizing the goals of administrative system transformation policies through the recognition and promotion of organizational health management competencies.
