Scientific Special Issue of the Quarterly Journal of Macro and Strategic Policies
In the wake of the unjust aggression and the third imposed war by the United States and the Zionist regime against the Islamic Republic of Iran in March 2026 (Esfand 1404) – referred to as the Ramadan War (Iran–US-Israel War) – parts of the country's critical infrastructure in the sectors of energy, industry, transportation, production, and supply chains have been exposed to damage or disruption. This event has underscored, more than ever, the urgent need for a profound rethinking of areas such as economic security, industrial resilience, passive defense, infrastructure reconstruction, and the strengthening of national production capacities.
Accordingly, the Quarterly Journal of Strategic and Macro Policies aims to provide a platform for in-depth, applied, and policy-oriented analyses in this domain through the publication of a scientific special issue. We hereby invite researchers, university professors, experts, executive managers, and practitioners in the economic and industrial fields to submit their scientific-research articles to the journal within the following thematic axes.
Thematic Axes of the Special Issue:
Axis 1: Strategic assessment of damages to national infrastructure (industry, mining, agriculture, roads, and urban development) using a composite and development-oriented indexing approach.
Axis 2: Analysis of resilience and security of domestic and international supply chains, logistics, and transportation systems under wartime crisis conditions.
Axis 3: Models for the reconstruction and modernization of economic, civil, and housing infrastructure with a sustainable development and future-oriented approach.
Axis 4: Strategic governance, macro-policymaking, and oversight of crisis management and passive defense during the imposed war and post-war periods.
Axis 5: Application of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies in the strategic monitoring and assessment of war developments, risk management, environmental monitoring, and conservation of natural resources.
Axis 6: Maritime development policies and the security of strategic waterways (Strait of Hormuz) within the framework of supervising the general policies of the system and the national vision.
Axis 7: Resistance economy, industrial self-sufficiency, and production surge during wartime, with a spatial/territorial planning approach and scenarios for national and regional progress and development.
Axis 8: Comparative studies of Iran's general policies with those of other countries in facing similar crises (with an emphasis on the transfer of global experiences in the economic, infrastructural, technological, environmental, and crisis management fields).
