Abstract
The purpose of this research was to investigate the future of Iran's natural gas energy policy in the post-war era of Ukraine, so that by analyzing the situation of Iran's gas, policymaking can be done for the future. The importance of this work was due to the energy crisis in the world, especially after the war in Ukraine in the gas issue. In this research, the SWOT matrix was used, which determined the four strategies based on the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of Iran's gas energy. Qualitative content analysis method was used for data analysis and the extracted codes were coded in the relevant tables and then based on the analysis of the interviews and also the received codes for the elements of the SWOT matrix, Iran's gas energy strategies were compiled. Based on this research and based on the SWOT matrix analysis, Iran's gas energy situation was conservatively assessed (WO) due to the gas energy imbalance caused by the high consumption of gas inside the country, and it is suggested to strengthen the strong points and reduce the weak points. Weakness and accurate and timely use of international opportunities, this situation in the medium term to a competitive state (SO) and then by adding renewable energies to the country's energy portfolio and releasing a part of gas resources, the status of Iran's gas energy be upgraded to aggressive mode.
